Orange City ditches spreadsheets and elects Questica for a maximized budget workflow

Questica

Located in the heart of Southwest Volusia, Florida, Orange City has a population of 12,000 and offers an abundance of opportunities for citizens to live, work, and explore. The city boasts one of the region’s largest hubs of retail and commerce, alongside a healthy business community, fueled by a strong entrepreneurial spirit for new businesses.

Orange City’s finance department were using tedious, error-prone spreadsheets to maintain and develop their $53,000,000 operational budget.

To better serve their communities and employees, Orange City sought a user-friendly budgeting tool that could replace spreadsheets and significantly reduce human error.

Their preferred solution would also enhance budget forecasting and reporting, while allowing for seamless integration with their current ERP system — Tyler Incode.

In partnership with Questica Budget, Orange City has obtained a centralized budgeting solution that allows for a streamlined budget workflow, augmented reporting and forecasting, and increased data accuracy — without the use of spreadsheets.

The city has also achieved full integration with their ERP system, Tyler Incode, for an integrated budgeting process.

Questica has focused on providing budgeting and forecasting software exclusively to the public sector for nearly 25 years. Questica is a full-service partner, where in-house staff are responsible for software development, implementation, training, and post-implementation customer care.
